Everyone involved – quite possibly including yourself, and anyone that has participated in our main annual event – has become very attached to the Stonehenge landscape. So we expect 2020 to be a year that will see many community members return to say farewell to what has been our home since our event started in 2007. Expect there to be a farewell ceremony, at the end of our event week in 2020, that will enable us all to say goodbye and thank you to a place that has touched so many of our lives over the years.
What does this change mean for the AfrikaBurn 2020 event?
In addition to the farewell ceremony, our team also has a Town Hall planned (at our 2020 event), at which members of our team that have been involved in the land process will be on hand to answer questions and explain the various aspects of the journey thus far, and what lies ahead.
Thanks for reading about this significant step in the AfrikaBurn journey – we look forward to the new horizons this change holds in store with you, as our event moves into a new phase of its existence.
